SECOM is a unique integrated solution for correlative light and electron microscopy that enables extremely fast correlative microscopy with the highest optical quality and overlay accuracy. SECOM is the only product to date that integrates fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy in one device by equipping a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with an inverted fluorescence microscope (FM). With its integrated design, switching from fluorescence to electron imaging is seamless and instantaneous. SECOM is installed as a retrofit to an existing SEM by replacing the vacuum chamber door. SECOM is fully compatible with all the standard detectors, allowing using the full potential of existing electron microscope.
Schematic overview SECOM system
SECOM system is being used for applications including cancer research, marine biology, neuro-science and cell biology. SECOM SR, an integrated CLEM system with a super-resolution optical microscope is also available.
