The choice of camera can be crucial for the RCM system. Especially when retrofitting an existing microscope/camera system, it is good to be aware of the compatibility, possibilities and options for optimum high resolution imaging.
The table below show the objectives and camera types we recommend to use with RCM. Using the objectives that are not listed here means that you will not achieve the improved lateral resolution through the rescanning principle.
The camera recommendations are based on Nyquist sampling criteria, allowing you to achieve the theoretical resolution in your actual camera images. Other cameras can be used as well, but may result in a lower resolution than stated below.
